Goals and Victory Conditions

The game flow will operate according to a detoured linear plot offering the player several choices in how their story could unfold, including some player choices that allow branching into optional content. The players’ choices can affect if a character lives or dies, and whether they kill a boss or defeat them non-lethally. This style of game play is very popular to gamers because they have to deal with the consequences of their choices, giving players a much more powerful role in the game play.

There are multiple flags the player must trip in order to continue the narrative. Typically, when the player has tripped a flag they will be rewarded with a cut scene or a corresponding item to continue the narrative progression.

There are a variety of goals a player can set out to complete that stray from the games narrative. Completing the missions of each branch will have a prize worth the player’s time. Some quest if completed in the proper way will lead to new playable party members, others to weapons that increase player stats and have a grandiose appeal. Each side quest will lead the player back to the main narrative of the game.

Economy and Item Acquisition

A balanced economy is the goal for the Nevaeh saga. The player will earn silver and gold from defeated enemies, mini games and quests. Items that give the greatest stat increases will be justifiably priced and will not be available for purchase in the beginning of the game (due to a lack of funds), but as the player accumulates gold and silver the items will remain available to them in the shops.

The player will explore the game world while battling enemies to acquire items that will provide access to new areas that were not accessible before. The process will repeat and become increasingly more challenging. The game will add appropriate items and abilities to the player’s repository so they will always have what they need to succeed.

The market items will vary based on the players location. Some items are rare to certain areas and abundant in others. These variables will affect market cost. Item prices will be fixed according to the location of the market. It will benefit the player to buy items in the areas where there is an abundance and sell items where they are rare.

This will also allow the player to affect the price of items by how and what he or she sells. The player can barter with the market merchants. If the player has an item that is rare to the land they are in, they can trade that item for a significant discount, or possibly earn gold or silver as well as the item they desire.

Each vendor will have a set number of items if a player purchases the last of an item it will be out of stock until the player returns to that area. If an Item is out of stock at an individual vender location that doesn’t mean you can’t find what you’re looking for next door.

Economy

Item growth

Item growth is determined by blacksmithing and runes. The player can visit Blacksmiths to have their armor and weapons engraved with acquired runes. Runes can be collected from market vendors and enemy battles. Runes will have power levels and the level will determine the added effect on an] item.

Items

Game Save

The player will be able to save his or her game manually at any point by pressing the options button and accessing the save menu. NUDE will automatically save player progress, based on a specified time increment, on a separate save file in to prevent data loss. This will create two save files one that automatically overwrites and one that the player has written. The player may save as many times as they feel necessary, and can start their game from either save type.
