Main Narrative

The Market

The Player has selected to start their journey and suddenly they’re viewing the world from what seems to be a satellite view. Then the camera pans out a bit and reveals a living global map that is used by the sky captain, Nicholai Chartais to navigate the globe. Maximus is returning to Univell after a long journey to the Shanita dessert. He was searching for ancient artifacts from a long lost civilization.

The player will have the opportunity to explore Nicholai’s air ship, but entering Maximus’ room will trigger a cut seen. The Air ship is docking at the Univell Market port authority. Elizabeth Night (Maximus’ wife) who is in the final stages in her pregnancy, is making her way to welcome home her husband from his journey. While trying to make her way through the crowd she overhears Sampson Quarner a treasure hunter trying to convince an air ship captain to take his commission for an adventure that promises unimaginable riches.

When the captain blows Sampson off in disbelief, Elizabeth aware that she has plenty of time before Maximus will exit the ship, grabs Sampson’s attention and convinces him to discuss the journey with her. Elizabeth knowing that there is truth too many of the legendary magic’s in the world decides to take him up on his offer.

Elisabeth grabbed Maximus and told him what she had discussed with Sampson. She explained that the money maid on this journey would give him the opportunity to take time to stay with her before his next exploration. Maximus agreed and suggested he assemble the crew and convince Nicholai to prepare his airship to set sail for their next adventure.

Maximus introduces himself to the mysterious man who goes by the name of Samson and discussed the details of the artifact and the possibility of their partnership in retrieving it. At this point the player has control of Maximus and can explore as he or she goes about assembling the air ship crew for their next journey.

The Rickety Air Ship

Once Maximus has successfully assembled the air ship crew and convinced Nicholai to set sail yet again, this time to untold spoils, the game will cut to an animation. Sampson will arrive with a small crew of his own saying these are the men that he has already paid to accompany them and assure their safe travel. Nicholai untrusting of Sampson refuses the extra men, but is convinced otherwise buy the glimmer of a few gold coins. Maximus Smiles throws his arm over Nicholai’s shoulder and says “Give the man his security. “ The crew boards the air ship and their loved ones wave them good bye as they set sail for their next adventure.

Gathered around the living globe Samson explains to Maximus and Nicholai that the artifact and the island were thought to be folk lore or legend but he has uncovered the truth and will share his findings with the world. Nicholai jokingly exclaims that as long as he gets his cut he doesn’t care what Samson chooses to do with the artifact. The game transitions back into the players control then suddenly, without warning, there is a loud crashing sound and the entire ship tilts to the right as if it slammed into a wall on the port side.

The ship is being bombarded by a flock of giant flying manta ray. The captain tries to steer the air ship clear but the manta are in a feeding frenzy. The player must make Maximus jump from the lookout platform and, grab a loose rope, to swing over to the port side balloon in order to puncture it with his ankle blade. The pressure released from the balloon steers the ship out of harm’s way, but the rides not over yet. The captain has to attempt a crash landing.

The player will be required to follow the commands of Nicholai in order to help him to safely land the ship. Once Maximus completes his tasks the game will transition into a short in game cut scene. As the captain tries to steady the ship the manta and the clouds clear and suddenly there it is… Naminure. Alexander “Is that island on the back of a giant turtle?” Samson “Yes, yes it is”

The captain saves the ship with a skillful crash landing pulling right up to the moving shoreline of the turtle island. The player must command Maximus to join the crew to quickly find sturdy land to more the boat too. The air ship took significant damage from the manta ray encounter. While the majority of the crew will have to stay behind for repairs on the ship Maximus, Alexander, Samson and a small group of treasure hunters set off to explore the island.

The Island outskirts

While searching the island for the legendry Ruins of Naminure the player will have full control of Maximus. The player can openly explore the outskirts of Turtle Island as he or she leads the crew in exploration. The treasure seekers will run into an array of different creatures, some gentle and skittish others ferocious hunters. As they travel through the thick the player will have the opportunity to level the characters and obtain items for their quest.

As the player explores the island he or she will come across a Satyr who speaks in riddles and attempts to warn Maximus to turn back. “Turn back, turn back for a soul you will lack if you”… Just before the Satyr could finish his riddle Samson Strikes the Satyr dead with a knife to the back. The startled crew will jump on and detain Samson. Samson claims the Satyr was planning to attack the crew and kill Maximus, he will claim that they are evil creatures who should never be trusted. This is partially true; the Satyr did plan to kill Maximus but not for the reasons Samson is claiming.

Alexander quickly examines the creature and confirms that it was wielding a weapon. The player will at this point have the option to free or detain Sampson. Weather Sampson is freed or detained the crew will venture forth. Sampson will suggest to follow a small creek which will lead the adventurers through the thick to discover the Monastery. The game will cut to a short cut scene revealing a beautiful temple surrounded by a series of colossal statues.

The island Monastery

The player will have full control of Maximus and can travel to the monastery or as far back as the air ship. If the player decides to travel back to the air ship he or she will have the same opportunity to level and collect items. When approaching the ship Maximus will be told that the ship is still undergoing repair and cannot take to the air as of yet. The player will also be asked a series of questions about what he or she has discovered. All of which will be encouraging the player to return to the monastery.

As the player approaches the Monastery they will be able to converse with the monks and the indigenous people, as well as explore the different shrines, shops, and farms of the island. The more the player talks to the people the more he or she will learn about the island and the powers that lay within.

As the player explores they will be intercepted by an elderly man wearing what appears to be a wizardly robe. Alexander says to Maximus “I thought this place was supposed to be a ruin of a once thriving civilization… This place looks alive and well to me” The monk will lead the crew inside the monastery where they can tend to their injuries as a result of the rough flight and journey and explore the monastery. At this point the chamber to the legendary sword will be locked and unreachable.

As night falls Samson finds Maximus and convinces him to accompany him in search of the artifact. Maximus is reluctant because of the indigenous people living on the island. “This place was supposed to be a deserted ruin… These people here are alive and well. How do you know this artifact even exists?” The game will direct the player to follow Sampson all the while Sampson will be posing his argument of why their actions will be justified.

Samson will lead Maximus to what appears to be a ritual chamber that was inaccessible earlier in the game. In the center rests a sort of monument or shrine encasing the sword in an eerie light. Sampson will be attempting to convince Maximus to take the Sword. The player will have the option to agree to Sampson’s insisting or decline and turn away.

The Birth of the Winged Child

By touching the ancient sword Maximus has become slave to the evil that resides with in it. His body recoils and convulses trying to resist the evil spirt, but he has no chance to escape his fate. Maximus is brought to his knees by the overwhelming pain running through his body. As Maximus cringes and cowers in pain, the game will cut back and forth between Maximus cringing and Elizabeth pushing with all of her might, trying to birth their son.

Maximus has just released an evil through himself unknown to this world for centuries. The ancient sword being pulled from what appeared to be a shrine, was actually being pulled from the giant turtle’s shell. The curse of the ancient sword is responsible for the existence of the colossal creature, sentenced it to roam the world, never dying. Removing the sword released the creature from its curse and thus the island began to crumble beneath them.

Alexander is awakened by the collapse of the island. He quickly dresses and begins searching for Maximus. The player now has control of alexander. Once the player makes it to the Ritual chamber he will encounter Sampson trying to escape the Shrine with his life. Alexander will call to Sampson. “Sam! Where’s Max! Where’s Maximus!” Sampson appearing to have something tucked into his shirt turns his head back and looks at Maximus. He then turns his head forward and runs to escape the monastery as it crumbles.

The player will then run Alexander into the crumbling ritual chamber only to find Maximus trying to stand with the ancient sword in one hand and reaching out with the other “Alex…” as a pillar falls on top of him. Alex Screams “NO!” Elizabeth gives her final push and the cries of a new born fill the room. Simultaneously, Maximus loses the spiritual battle within and Michael Night is born.

Escape from Turtle Island

Alexander stumbles back in disbelief and suddenly Nicholai grabs his shoulder. “He’s gone… We have to move!!!” Alexander gathers the strength to survive and begins to run. The island suffers from explosive quakes because of massive land shifts caused by the colossal turtle thrashing in pain. The player now must gather as many survivors as possible as they try to escape the island. A countdown clock will show up in the corner of the screen to show the player how much time they have to escape before it’s too late.

The colossal statues and the monastery begin to topple over, all the while the monks living within are trying their best to save the adventurers and the indigenous people. The monks will do their best to help the player but there will be countless casualties from the fallout.

Nicholai explains to the player as they make for the ship that he has commanded the crew to be ready to sail upon his return. As the player gets Nicholai and a small group of survivors closer to the air ship they see that Sampson and his men have released the mores and taken the ship. Nicholai screams “You bastard” and Sampson tips his hat as he sails away. The player must now make his or her way to the shore line in hopes that the fishing boats are still there. Once the player makes it to the fishing boats he or she will board the survivors and row for their lives.

Rise from the Ashes

The camera will take a position showing the fishing boats in the foreground and the colossal turtle in the background thrashing. Once the player has rowed a specified distance the game will then transition into a cut scene showing the final moments of the Turtles life as well as Alexander, Nicholai, and the survivors beaching their boats.

Once on the Beach the player has free roam and can explore the immediate area. He or she can communicate with Nicholai or any of the survivors of the island. There will be a couple of trinkets to reward the player for searching the beach along with a couple of wildlife encounters. There will be smoke rising from within the forest signaling the player to explore the forest.

Once the player decides to enter the forest, the camera will pan up reinforcing the smoke signal, just in case the player didn’t notice it. Nicholai will catch up with alexander to say “Alex… Where are you going?” Alex will respond “There is smoke coming from somewhere in the forest there must be a village or some sort of camp.” Nicholai responds after a moment of silence “alright then, let’s check it out.”

While navigating the forest the player will have the opportunity to collect items and level Alexander and Nicolai in battles by surviving the unfamiliar lands predators. Upon clearing the forest Alexander and Nicholai will discover that they are in the village of Dreynor.

In the village of Dreynor the player can visit market shops, Inns, and entertainment stands. All the while collecting information on how the player can get Alexander and Nicholai back to Univell.

In the market the player will encounter an elderly merchant with an old air ship that he will give up if the player completes a series of tasks. Nicholai also recalls overhearing Sampson telling one of his personal crew members about the land he planned to buy in Dreynor. The player will be presented with the question of whether they should hunt down Sampson for what he did on the island, or return to Univell and try to recover their losses.

If the player choses to go after Sampson they will continue exploring Dreynor. If the player chooses to return to Univell they will head for the acquired air ship and immediately set sail. Once the player enters the air ship the game will transition to a cut scene of Alexander and Nicholai taking to the air heading for Univell while passing over the remains of Naminure.

The corpse of the colossal turtle lay beached on one of the small islands off the shore of Dreynor. The camera will leave the air ship and zoom in on the rubble of what remains of the monastery. Suddenly from the rubble a hand crashes through the rocks grasping to pull whatever lay beneath them to the surface. Rising from the ashes a mangled Maximus Knight limps away significantly changed by his demonic possession.

The man once known as Maximus Night is no more, his body is now the home of an evil spirt who wants nothing more than to conquer everything in his path. The lifeless corpses of the indigenous people who didn’t escape the island rise and follow their undead leader.

Return to Univell

The animation will then cut to the merchant air ship pulling into the Univell port authority and then transition to player controlled game play. Because you have pulled in unscheduled you have no welcoming committee, instead you are greeted by an angry port officer who confronts Nicholai about pulling an unsanctioned air ship into his port. Nicholai waves Alexander bye so he can deal with the port authority, while Alexander goes to his sister Elisabeth to explain what has happened.

The player will have free roam of the Univell town and market where he or she can purchase items or stay in the local inns to rest up. Once the player has found Elizabeth’s home they will be greeted by Elizabeth’s mid wife and told that there was a small problem with his nephew and Elizabeth has taken the baby to stay in Aston village. Regardless of how persistent the player is the midwife will say no more. She will only tell you to go to Aston.

Once the player reaches Aston village the town’s folk will tell him or her where Elizabeth is if they can describe her properly. Once the player completes this task they will be led to the hut in Aston where Elisabeth is caring for her son Michael.

Elizabeth will explain to Alexander that she felt that she had to keep Michael hidden because of his special circumstances. Alexander “What are you talking about what’s wrong with him.” Elizabeth “Nothing is wrong with him, he is just special” Just then Elizabeth removes the blanket she had Michael covered with revealing his wings. Alexander is floored by what he sees and has to take a seat. Once Alex sits Elisabeth asks “Alex… Where is Max?”

Alex begins to tell Elizabeth of her husband’s passing the camera goes to black and the audio goes silent. The only thing that can be heard is Elizabeth screaming “NO! No. It can’t be true… My love…”

An Unexpected Visitor

The screen will fade back in playing a song and showing a montage of Alexander being knighted and visiting his sister in the Aston Village. In each visit Michael grows larger and Alexander bears gifts. The montage depicts approximately three years passing. The montage will end with Alexander in the Univell Kingdom. The player has regained full control of Alexander and can explore the Univell kingdom freely. As the player explores the kingdom a celebration is happening in the empire.

The queen has given birth to a beautiful baby girl and the Kingdom is celebrating. Travelers from far and wide have come to shower the princess in gifts to show their respect for the monarchy who so justly rule the land. The player will be queued with a mission to find a rare gift for the new born princess. Once the player finds the gift, he or she will be able to enter the conference room of the castle to present the princess with her gift.

Upon entering the conference room Alexander notices an unknown traveler that has an uncanny familiarity about him. Something Alex can’t quite put his finger on. The traveler was the monk Artimis Cade who led him and Maximus into the monastery on Naminure Island.

Artimis appeared to be alive and well, and he came bearing the most beautiful and rare gift of all. A small feathered baby dragon. The monk explained that this dragon was a luck dragon and as long as she keep it by her side she will be safe from bad happenings.

The king and Queen so impressed by the humble monk’s gift they offer him quarters in the palace, to learn more of the creature and the land of its origin. Alexander a bit weary of their new guest decides to closely accompany him for the time being. The screen fades to black as Alexander converses with Artimis as he escorts him to his chambers. Followed by a cut scene that shows a montage sequence where Alexander gains rank of a Lord in the Univell kingdom, and Artimis Cade becomes a spiritual leader and the head of the Univell monastery. The game will notify the player that 12 years have passed.

The player has now gained Artimis as a party member. The player can now freely roam the Univell kingdom as well as travel to foreign lands to accompany Artimis on his spiritual missions.

Return to the Colosseum

As a new Lord in the Univell kingdom, Alexander will be honored by the king and queen in the opening ceremony to the New Year's Colosseum battle tournament. When the lordships ceremony completes the player will have control over Michael Archail. Michael will be inside of the Colosseum watching his uncle being honored as the Lord.

The player will have free roam of the Colosseum and will be able to buy items pertaining to quests, but they will not be able to leave the Colosseum. Any time the player attempts to leave the Colosseum they'll be asked not to leave because the games will begin soon. The player will be entered into the Colosseum battle tournament and will be battling as Michael.

For every challenger the player defeats in the tournaments they will earn special items that will aid the player in their quest. If the player loses in the Colosseum Alexander will arrive in the Colosseum preparatory room to meet with Michael. Alexander will scold Michael for entering the tournament with such little training and without notice.

If the player is successful completing the tournament Alexander will present the player with the Champion Sword center ring in the Colosseum. Alexander will first congratulate Michael for completing the tournament successfully, and then as they leave they exit the center ring he will scold Michael for entering the tournament with such little training and without notice.

A Dark Magic

Alexander “Michael come with me. There's somebody I've been meaning to introduce you to.” Alexander introduces Michael to Artimis Cade. Artimis “so this is him. The boy I’ve heard so much about” if the player completed the tournament successfully Artemis will say “Well I have to say, I'm impressed, you performed well in the tournament”. If the player does not successfully complete the tournament Artemis will say “it's a pleasure to meet you”.

Suddenly there is an uproar in the stands of the Colosseum combined with sounds of crashing and burning. Sampson has returned to Univell in an attempt at persuading the King to surrender his kingdom to the power of the dark army. Sampson is only a messenger and has traveled with a small group of his evil disciples. Sampson confronts the King and threatens the safety of the empire if he does not surrender his kingdom.

The player must lead Michael, Alexander, and Artimis through the crowds of frantic people, trying to escape the danger, in order to get to the King and protect his family. While making their way to the king the player will encounter a variety of enemy battles. Once the player successfully navigates the team to the Royal theatre box. They will challenge Sampson for the safety of the royal family.

This will be Michael's opportunity to battle alongside Alexander and Artimis for the first time.

Michael Becomes a Landed Gentry

Once the player has defeated Sampson the royal family will hold a celebration in honor of Michael, Alexander, and Artimis. Michael will be bestowed with the honor of master landed gentry and from that point forward will be under the honored guidance of master general and Lord Alexander Archail. And their first mission will be to escort Artimis in the venture to uncover the mysteries of this unexpected evil.

The player will now have free roam of the Univell Castle and kingdom. Alexander will then instruct the player to go to the market and collect specific goods and then meet him at the Port Authority where he will introduce him to his father's best friend Nicholai.

Once the player has completed the mission bestowed upon him or her by Alexander and arrives at the port authority Alexander, Artemis, and Nicholai will be there waiting in a stoic nature.

Victoria’s Sixteenth Birthday

Upon returning to Univell after searching the globe for the Naminure stones the game will cut to an animation. The animation will show Nicholai’s airship docking at the Univell Port Authority, and will inform the player that three more years have passed in their absence. The player will regain full control of Michael to explore Univell freely.

The people of the kingdom will be excited and whenever the player chooses to speak to one of the townsfolk they will explain the kingdom is preparing to celebrate the 16th birthday of Princess Victoria. Whichever party member the player speaks to first will insist that Michael find the perfect gift for Victoria. Once the player completes the quest to find the perfect gift and enters the main gates of the Univell Castle the game will then cut to another short animation.

Balloons will be let loose from the towers of the Univell castle, there will be children playing games, jesters and performers will be entertaining the people in the courtyard. Suddenly the royal family will emerge from the castle and thank the townsfolk for their lovely gifts and their celebration of Victoria's birthday.

The player will retain control of Michael and will have the opportunity to walk the castle's courtyard greet towns folk and play games. The goal of the player is to present their gift to Victoria. Once the player presents Victoria with their gift she will thank Michael and share a moment of tenderness. Suddenly there will be screams of terror and the roar of a ferocious beast heard from the other side of the castle gates.

The Return of Maximus Night

Michael will tell Victoria “Get your parents and get inside!” The player will then need to make haste to find Alexander, Artimis, and Nicholai. Many of the town’s women are taking their children to find refuge in the Monastery. While gathering the party members Michael will have to fight beasts attacking the town’s folk.

Once the player has acquired his party they will make haste to respond to the events taking place in the kingdom. Maximus Night riding in on a winged beast Lands on the tallest tower in the castles court yard making claim to the land and offers to spare the lives of those who bow before him. This is Alexander and Nicholai’s first encounter with Maximus in close to eighteen years and they can’t believe their eyes.

Suddenly Sampson takes center stage of the court yard marching an army of the undead. Sampson and his troops begin a vicious attack on Michael and his companions. The people of Univell stand behind Alexander and his army and choose not to go down without a fight.

The battle ensues pitting Michael and Sampson head to head to end this once and for all.  Sampson tries to break Michael’s focus by insisting that he is the catalyst behind the demise of his father. The Univell army is losing the battle and there are almost too many casualties to count. Univell has been ravaged by the evil invaders and there seems to be no hope in sight.

Fall of the Empire

Elizabeth in disbelief of what’s happening emerges from the monastery calling out to her husband. “Maximus! Max! You must stop this! You must stop!” Something comes over him and he retreats from destroying the castle. He swoops down to the level of the monastery and dismounts his beast. Maximus powerful walks toward Elisabeth and says “Maximus is no more”. Maximus grabs Elisabeth, mounts his beast, and takes flight.

Michael, Alexander, Artimis, and Nicholai overcome Sampson and finish him once and for all. Maximus with Elisabeth in tote sees this and sounds the horn of retreat. Michael instantly takes to the air in the attempt to rescue his mother.  Once the player catches up to the beast he or she must attempt to grab Michael’s mother. Once the player has successfully made contact they will be struck down by Maximus.

Elizabeth Screams in horror as Michael falls like a spinning dart. Elizabeth “He was our Son! How could you!” Maximus looks back at the boy as he falls, then turns forward and heels the beast to make haste. Suddenly Victoria Sorley Riding Lynx the luck dragon plucks Michael from the air and returns to the fallen empire. The beast flies off into the distance and the Univell Empire is left in ruin. Victoria lands lynx and Michael revives from his knocked out state. The group looks out to the where Maximus made away with Elizabeth.

Michael runs to take flight again flapping his weak flightless wings screaming and reaching for his mother, but she and Maximus are almost out of sight at this point. Alexander grabs Michael and says “She’s gone Michael… but we’ll get her back” The rest of the evil invaders have fled the battle at this point and retreated back to the slums of where they came. The camera will fade to black and the game credits will play

The player will also be asked a series of questions about what he or she has discovered. All of which will be encouraging the player to return to the monastery.

Example Air Ship Dialogue Tree

Nicolai:             Hey… Back so soon? Did you find what you came looking?

Maximus A:     No… Not yet… I was just having a look around.

Nicolai:             Having a look around! Are you kidding me Mate! Well you better get to it… I plan to have this old girl in the air in a jiff.

Maximus A:      Aye, Aye captain!

Nicolai:             Smart Ass… (Dialogue end)

Maximus B:     Sounds good, will do. (Dialogue end)

Maximus C:     I’ll get to it when I’m good and ready, Nicholai.

Nicolai:            Well what’s got your panties in a bunch? I’m the one with the wrecked Air Ship.

Maximus A:     Never mind (Dialogue end)

Maximus B:     Okay, okay I’m going. Love you Mom (Dialogue end)

Maximus C:     … (Dialogue end)

Maximus B:     We’ve located the monastery

Nicolai:             Great! So, what are you doing here?

Maximus A:     I was…  Ah… Just mapping our rout back.

Nicholai:          Good Thinking. Well you better get to it… I plan to have this old girl in the air in a jiff. (Dialogue end)

Maximus B:     I was just checking on the ships progress… How are the repairs coming?

Nicholai:          Don’t worry about the ship, I’ve got this under control. You just worry about that artifact you’re after. I plan to                             have this old girl in the air in a jiff. (Dialogue end)

Maximus C:     That’s a good question... (Dialogue end)

Maximus C:     What are ya in a hurry?

Nicolai:            Well, as a matter of fact, I am… You’d better get to it… I plan to have this old girl in the air in a jiff. (Dialogue                                   end)

Note:   If the player tries to continue to interact with Nicholai after their initial conversation he will simply say:  Well you better get to it… I plan to have this old girl in the air in a jiff.

As the player explores the village of Naminure they will be able to converse with the monks and the indigenous people, as well as explore the different shrines, shops, and farms of the island. The more the player talks to people the more he or she will learn about the island and the powers that are heir in. As the player nears the monastery they will be intercepted by an elderly man wearing what appears to be a wizardly robe.

Artimis Cade Dialogue

Artimis:           Welcome, welcome… How can I help you? You must be lost. Arriving here on Naminure.

Maximus:        Thank you! Our ship had a pretty nasty run in with a flock of flying Manta. We’ve come to purchase supplies so                           we can be on our way.

Artimis:           I see… You are injured why you don’t come into the Monastery so our healers can tend to your wounds.

The monk will lead the travelers inside the monastery living space where they can tend to their injuries. Once Maximus has visited the healers the player will have free control of Maximus to explore the Monastery.  Night will fall shortly after the travelers enter the monastery and they will be offered shelter until they can return to their ship in the morning.

The player can choose to take shelter in the monastery or venture back through the turtle island outskirts to return to the air ship.  If the player chooses to return to the air ship the turtle island outskirts will have a new variety of beast encounters offering the collection of additional experience points for Maximus. These beast encounters will be twice as challenging as the previous because the player will have only Maximus in battle. If the player reaches the ship they will not be able to board because the planks will be pulled in and the crew will be sleeping. The player will have no choice but to return to the monastery.

Once the player decides to settle down in the room they have been offered, Sampson will come knocking on the door. Sampson will attempt to convince the player to hunt down the legendary relic. Maximus is reluctant because of the indigenous people living on the island. The game will direct the player to follow Sampson all the while Sampson will be posing his argument of why their actions will be just. Sampson will lead Maximus to the sanctuary where he believes the hidden entry to the relic’s tomb is hidden. Gaining access to the relic’s tomb will require the player to solve a somewhat simple puzzle.

Structure

NUDE has an overarching narrative but allows intricacies of the story to be molded by the players’ actions and choices. The goal of the Neveah saga is to vanquish an ancient evil that seeks to lay waste to the world. The character development that the player shares though the exciting moments and the suffering will motivate the player to do what it takes to muster up the strength to carry on and complete the story. The game is set in a parallel universe where Nevaeh has taken a very different course in modernization and political powers than our own.

Sanctuary Puzzle

The sanctuary puzzle will have to be solved in order to lower the staircase to the relic’s tomb. The puzzle will consist of three rotating elemental shrines that each have four statues. The player’s goal is to figure out the correct shrine rotation. Hints of the proper shrine rotation will be clear in the surrounding environment as well as in the map its self. The puzzle theme is the balance of power. Each shrine will have four elemental statues rotated in a different fashion. The player will need to rotate the shrines so that one statue representing each element is facing the center stair case. Once the player has complete the puzzle he or she will be rewarded with the advancement of the story and the ability to enter the tomb.

Golem Boss Battle

The descending stair case will set free a massive golem who guards the relic from intruders. The golem will golem will slowly climb from the tomb and immediately engage in battle with Maximus and Sampson. The golem is a very powerful boss but is very slow. The proper maneuvering in battle will prove to be the winning strategy.

Defeating the golem will reward the player with a stone rune that increases their defensive abilities by 10% as well as clear the path for the player to descend the puzzle stairway into the legendary relic’s chamber. In the center lay a sort of monument or shrine encasing the sword in an eerie light.
