Author

Michael Nieves is a Technical Character Artist specializing in the development of a wide variety of characters. He has extensive knowledge of Anatomy, Character Design, Modeling, Rigging and Sculpting for Animation, Games and VFX.

Currently Michael is working at Pixar Animation Studios, in Emeryville California as a Character TD responsible for Digitally Sculpting, Modeling, and Rigging characters for both Feature and Short Animated Films.

​

Michael is consistently working at the perfection of his craft which shows not only in his everyday work but also in his continuation of higher education. While working fulltime, Michael is pursuing his MFA in Interactive Design and Game Development.  His studies focus on the creation of high resolution character sculpts and their engine performance equivalents.
